The majority of gardens are not wheelchair accessible. There are no paved roads or walkways. Sensible, sturdy shoes are a must.

There are a few picnic tables located in the Spruce Grove in addition to some tables and chairs on the Main House deck. Small picnics are allowed and all garbage must be carried out. No coolers, blankets, music or games permitted on the grounds.

Every 3rd Friday of the month the gardens are open until dusk. Bring a picnic and enjoy the gardens in the soft light of the sunset. Admission is $5/members are free.
One Tuesday per month a guided tour is conducted featuring a particular part of the garden. Admission is $10/members are free. 6:30 - 7:30 except where noted. July 15 - Systematic Order Beds August 12 - Woodland Ferns September 16 - Enclosed English-style Garden October 14 - Fall foliage and grasses, 6pm-7pm
