Reviews of Sizergh Castle Garden

We were quite enjoying our visit until we asked one of the 'helpers' a question about the 'castle?' and were told in a reprimanding and patronising tone that it was a house not a castle - we never did get an answer to our question.

a rock garden, woodland garden and kitchen garden. some lovely shrubs and borders. the garden integrates well with the castle.

An amazing estate! The rock garden is particularly inspiring with lovely plantings of mature, gorgeous Japanese maples, evergreens, primulas, iris, and ferns with streams trickling through it. The kitchen garden is also lovely, and we enjoyed the house tour as well.
