Known by its Russian label the 'Emir's Summer Palace' was built in 1911. It has both European and Asian features but its chief interest is a surviving example of garden retreat outside a walled city. One can easily see that that life was much more pleasant here than inside Bukhara's Ark Fortress - just as Timur found life pleasanter in the gardens round Samarkand than within its fortifications.
Address - Bukhara, Uzbekistan
