Go to Samarès Manor and Gardens
Beautiful gardens and house! Well worth a visit. The tearooms/resturant food was good. The tour of the Manor was very interesting and well worth the £6. The gardens were huge and well looked after. It was lovely to visit my husband's great, great uncle-in-law's (Sir James Knott) house. The photo's are going in the family history file.

(5.0/5)this is a total rip off as the gardens are run down my husband and i wanted to visit the manor, but the next visit was 2-30 pm and they wanted more money for the visit

(1.0/5)The gardens and surrounding countryside are glorious, and the herb garden is superb. The manor house sits in its own grounds and looks wonderful on a warm summers day.
This would have been a 5 star rating but for the let down of the tea-rooms/restaurant. To call this a restaurant would be an embellishment. The menu is poor, consisting basically of unimaginative sandwiches and paninis, a far cry from a few years back when the menu selection was a delight. To add insult to injury, having bought a few plants fro friends back home on the way in and using up my cash, I tried to pay £9.30 by debit card at the tea-room but was told that they don't accept cards for less than £10. You have been warned!
