Coach tours and large groups are most welcome both in the gardens and tea room. Please contact us for further details or to book a space in the tea room.
Parking within the gardens is reserved for private residents or for small groups only. However the public car park on the quayside is located right next to the garden entrance.
Much of the garden is paved and there is a fully equipped disabled access toilet. The side wall of the tea room can be opened up to allow for wheelchair access and the wooden terraced outdoor seating area for the tea room is accessed by a ramp.
The Tea Room serves light lunches largely made from organically grown produce from our vegetable garden or from local sources.
The Tea Room serves home-made cream teas served on silver cake stands sourced from the Savoy. Home-made cakes and loose leaf teas are also served.
You can purchase beer, wine and champage in the Tea Room .
Diarmuid Gavin Book Launch Saturday 3rd October 2pm Charismatic garden designer and presenter Diarmuid Gavin will be at the gardens to launch his new book “Planting”. Diarmuid will give a talk about the book which explores nature’s vast palette of plants, where they come from, what grows naturally in which conditions, but most importantly how they are used in the gardens all around the world and how you can use them in your garden. Written in partnership with Sir Terence Conran the book is set to be a true 21st Century classic. Diarmuid will be signing copies after the talk. The marquee will open at 2pm with the talk commencing at 2:30pm Tickets are £12 or £10 for Season Ticket holders. Price includes garden entry.
