A dramatic fourteenth century castle with a serpentine deer park and a lake. The castle stands, like a vast gothic folly, in the park. The terraced and walled gardens (separated from the house) are well planted.

Very disappointing garden . Herbaceous borders are unkempt and dull. The fig is worth seing and the old yew hedges but that's about it. Not worth the money.
