    Pay a visit to the Eco Craft Gift Shop in the new Visitor Centre near the main entrance. This shop is not managed by SANBI but privately operated by Mmes Msimang and Mtembu and sells a wide range of African curios and gifts. It is open from 09h00 to 17h00 on weekdays, from 10h00 to 17h00 on Saturdays and from 13h00 to 17h00 on Sundays. The Visitors' Centre also houses a cashier, display area, kitchen and toilet facilities. The Mayor of Tshwane, Father Smangaliso Mkhatshwa, officially opened the Centre on 29 May 2002. The building was funded by the Poverty Relief Project of the Department of Environmental Affairs and Tourism.

    MOKHA RESTAURANT Mokha” is the Tswana name for the Acacia sieberiana var . woodii or Paperbark Thorn. This restaurant also has a sit-down deck overlooking the wetland and it is the most beautiful venue for: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Weddings Functions Catering services are also available. Normal entry fees apply during office hours on weekdays (Monday to Friday 08:30 – 16:00). On weekends an additional fee will be charged. Guided walks can be arranged for groups (maximum of 20 people). Normal entrance fee is payable, plus donations towards Garden Development Fund are welcome.
