Gardenvisit Editorial

The castle was built in 1536, then destoyed during the Thirty Years' War (1618 - 1648), then rebuilt.  The park came later (around 1670) and was redesigned in the nineteenth century.  Empress Elisabeth "Sissi" of Austria was born at Possenhofen and it was her family home.
