Palazzo del Te

A great Mannerist villa close to Mantua with aspects of a palace and a villa. It was designed (1525-35) by Giulio Romano for Federigo Gonzaga and his mistress. Gonzaga, Duke of Mantua and son of Isabelle d'Este, was an erudite renaissance patron.
