The garden originally surrounded the summer residence of the Princes of Monaco. Prince Honoré II laid out the garden in 1725 and planted citrus trees. The collection of citrus trees is labelled and there are currently 137 varieties in the garden.

Very special place, I loved it. It's fully planted with all types of citrus trees (lemon, orange, grapefruits...) and it also presents a wonderful collection of sculptures among them in the garden. What a nice place to go for a walk.
Of course it's forbidden to pick to fruits, and I learned afterwards that it's even forbidden to pick them from the ground... that was after we tested a few...
