Otari-Wilton's Bush Botanic Garden is the only public botanic garden in New Zealand dedicated soley to native plants. The cultivated area of the garden is surrounded by a native bush reserve. The collection includes an 800 year old rimu tree. There is also a treetop walkway, rock garden and a threatened plants border.
