Reviews of Old Thatch Garden

I have been visiting Old Thatch Garden frequently over the years and it never fails to delight me with its peace and beauty. There is always a warm welcome from Jacky and David Hawthorne, and they are endlessly patient with visitors' questions. The hedges block out the outside world and one can wander gently through a rose and clematis arbour, or sit by one of the ponds with its tinkling water feature, or, even on a wet day, relax outside the kitchen with a slice of delicious home made cake and a cup of tea or coffee looking at the varied colours of herbaceous and potted plants. It's a garden for reflection, for smiling at a witty display, for being amazed by the imagination of the designer, and being inspired to do more creative things with one's own garden.
