The Schloss and garden have an interesting history. Built for Princess Anna Wilhelmine von Anhalt-Dessau (1715-1780), the site housed a home for unmarried women of noble rank after her death which was given up in 1950. Mosigkau is one of the few examples of German rococo ensembles having survived in their original design. The garden is moderate in size (16 ha) and has an orchard, a fish pond, and a Chinese house. The labyrinth is in excellent condition and great fun for children.
