Gardenvisit Editorial

The gardens were named after a stream known in colonial times the stream as 'Uncle Aaron Leaming's Run'. They were designed by Jack and Emily Aprill after 1957. In the area around Thomas Leaming House they made an eccentric wetland and woodland garden with dramatic color themes and effects.

Simply lovely! We enjoyed our walk through Leaming's Run watching hummingbirds enjoy the beauties of the annual plants in and out of the shaded woodland! Very interesting garden area with varied crops growing among farm animals----children loved it! Walk was about one mile/one hour.....numerous water areas and views into and out of colorful areas.
