La Roche Courbon

Gardenvisit Editorial

The chateau was made in the fifteenth century and the garden in the seventeenth century. It was unoccupied for much of the nineteenth century and gained a romantic reputation as a castle of sleeping beauty. In the 1920s it was restored using a painting of 1660. In the 1930s a formal garden was designed by Ferdinand Duprat.
