Koran Gate Gardens

The old Shiraz Gate on the route to Persepolis became a religious site with the construction of an arched gateway with a large Koran on top. As a place of resort with cooler air and a fine view of the city the area has been furnished with modern parks and gardens with water flowing into channels and pools. It is very busy on Fridays. If the road were placed in a tunnel it could be a place of real delight.
