A guided tour of the site including the near-completed garden is available for pre-booked groups. call for details, proces and to book. There is a maximum of 6 coach parking spaces 150 metres from the entrance.
Visit the beautiful Elizabethan gatehouse, built by Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester in 1575 and now fully restored and open to the public for the first time in decades. Tour the suite of rooms, furnished as they were in the 1930s, when the gatehouse was last inhabited as a home. View the top floor exhibition, telling the story of Queen Elizabeth I and Dudley.
There is plenty of space to park in the castle car park, which also has enough space for up to 6 coaches.
There is an access ramp from the car park onto the site and an access ramp plus a lift in Leicester's Gatehouse. Unfortunately, due the historic nature of the site, some parts of the ruins are not accessible by wheelchair.
