Restaurant
The Kokerboom restaurant at the Karoo Desert National Botanical Garden in Worcester opened in May, 2007. The restaurant is open everyday of the week. The trading hours are from 10:00 to 17:00 Monday to Sunday. Bookings for after hours functions and early morning breakfasts can be arranged. The tel number is 023 3477751. The restaurant is set in tranquil surrounds in the Karoo Desert National Botanical Garden over looking the Hex River mountains.These views are enhanced when the mountains are covered in snow. The restaurant is clad in local Malmesbury shale stone and the roof is thatched. It is named after the kokerboom, Aloe dichotoma. A small forest of these trees has been planted at the garden.
