I've visited this garden about 5 times now, in fact nearly everytime I am in Oregon. It feels authentic, understated and perfectly balanced. If I lived in Portland I would probably go every month or so. It is not just about the plants but the design and small 'adventure' to exploring all the paths and hillside. Pure Magic!

easy to get to by public transport, or park near the zoo carpark and take the lift and shuttle. Great events, exhibitions, nice little shop, good website.(eat before you go, there is no food and you will want to stay for a while)
