Howard Gardens

Gardenvisit Editorial

Charles-Benjamin Howard, a local businessman, gave the city of Sherbrooke the greenhouses and the gardens which he had started in 1926. The glasshouses allowed the city to continue the Victorian art of carpet bedding, for which it has since become famous. There is a mosaic garden, a reptile garden and an unusual tree-trunk sculpture garden in which the works have been made with chain saws.
