A granite house with a lawn, a woodland garden and a water garden. Good views of Dartmoor. The plants are labelled and the large granite boulders appear as natural sculpture.

Head Gardener's Comment

The house is built in the Lutyens style. The 3 acre garden contains collections of Magnolias, Camellias and Rhododendrons on carpets of primroses and bluebells.

History

The house was built in 1914 and the garden has been developed and enlarged during the 42 years in the current ownership.

Mature Magnolia spengeri var. diva, Magnolia x veitchii 'Peter Veitch' and Embothriums.
