Hastsal Minar, Palam

Gardenvisit Editorial

The Hashtsal Minar was erected as part of a hunting lodge by Shah Jahan and resembles Delhi's earlier Qutb Minar. It is near the monsoon pond in the village of Hashtsal. Shah Jahan's elephant house (Hathikhana) is nearby and the estate was used as a hunting park. Shooting parties would travel here from the Red Fort and camp in the park.
