Reviews of Greys Court Garden

This National Trust property on a quite country road at the edge of Henley-on-Thames is well worth the visit. The is among the smaller of the England's "stately homes", and as a result has a homey feel, with an interesting collection of furnature, family portraits and design. But the garden is absolutely charming with its several sections, walls, gates and planting. The laburnum and allium were particularly beautiful in early May.

This is one of the most tranquil quintessentially English gardens I have visited in ages. The gardens are principally set within an ancient walled garden with a variety of delightful features. On the front lawn is a marvellous Arbutus andrachnoides with a stunning trunk and a grove of Arbutus unedo to the left.
It is not a place with aggressively stylised schemes or naff ideas better found in a flower show..it is laid back,well cared for and charming in its Englishness
