The garden of a Benedictine Abbey founded in the eighth century. Frauenchiemsee or Fraueninsel means "Ladies Island" and is the second largest island in Lake Chiemsee. There is a rose garden, herb garden and orchard. The abbey occupies around of third of the area of Frauenchiemsee and the whole island has the character of a park.
