Established in 1980, Dubuque Arboretum is run entirely by volunteers. There is a large hosta garden and a Japanese garden designed by Hoichi Kurisu.

We are the largest all volunteer arboretum in the United States.

One of the largest hosta collections, award winning roses, formal English garden, Japanese garden with waterfalls, annuals and perennials, large conifer collection.

Opening times - May to October. Daily. Open 7am to dusk. Also open weekdays November to April from 10am to 3pm. Closed Thanksgiving and 25th December to 1st January.
Admission - Free, donations gladly accepted
