Lovely gardens--when I moved to Michigan, I chose Midland & my home to be close to Dow Gardens--I walk a few times every week there & still stumble across new sections. A really nice children's section, rose garden, herb gardens & lots of perennials & annuals & flowering trees. Classes they offer have been enjoyable. Staff is friendly. I took friends from downstate when the tulips were in full bloom & they said it was prettier than going to Holland!

The website has no pictures! Why would anyone go out of the way to see this place with out some idea (pictures)that it is not a total pooper?

We visited the Dow Gardens in the spring of 2008 and they had a wonderful butterfly exhibit going on in the conservatory. The cost to walk the garden was only $5.00/adult and it included the butterfly exhibit. There were a lot of colorful tulips and beautiful bridges over the ponds. It's great place to walk and enjoy nature.
