Go to Dow Gardens
Lovely gardens--when I moved to Michigan, I chose Midland & my home to be close to Dow Gardens--I walk a few times every week there & still stumble across new sections. A really nice children's section, rose garden, herb gardens & lots of perennials & annuals & flowering trees. Classes they offer have been enjoyable. Staff is friendly. I took friends from downstate when the tulips were in full bloom & they said it was prettier than going to Holland!

(5.0/5)The website has no pictures! Why would anyone go out of the way to see this place with out some idea (pictures)that it is not a total pooper?

(3.0/5)We visited the Dow Gardens in the spring of 2008 and they had a wonderful butterfly exhibit going on in the conservatory. The cost to walk the garden was only $5.00/adult and it included the butterfly exhibit. There were a lot of colorful tulips and beautiful bridges over the ponds. It's great place to walk and enjoy nature.
