Dokmai Garden
Directions Dokmai Garden is located near the Namprae village, 17,5 km (driving distance) from the Chiang Mai airport. Drive along the canal road to the Samoeng intersection (you are now 9,5 km from the Dokmai garden entrance; signs along the road will help you). Then drive South along the canal road for 7,4 km until you come to a Police Box near a bridge. Turn right (west), drive over the bridge and continue to the first intersection. Turn right at this intersection and then go another 800 meters straight on a gravel road until you come to a concrete road named "Soi Dokmai". Turn left on this concrete road and drive another 300 m to the entrance. A taxi (08-71875787) is a convenient and surprisingly cheap alternative (300 Baht from downtown). The garden is situated about 30 minutes south of the airport. Since most drivers can not read maps, make sure to bring our phone number (08-94339045, 08-13866244) if there is a problem.
