Reviews of Dalemain Garden

Disappointing. In the walled garden the theme was difficult to discern, just a mish mash of plants really. In the knot garden, the (?)white theme was poorly carried out, lots of other colours. In the spiral garden, just a sorry swirl of crocus leaves, long overdue for pulling off. In the lower garden, some glorious meconposis betonicifolia beds, but the rest was unkempt. The sleeping goddesss/giant was only visible because of her face, the rest was long unkempt grass, buttercups and nettles.
All in all, not really worth the time to visit.
On a positive note, the cerery, apple and tomato soup was really good.
