A mainly seventeenth century house and garden on the site of a monastry, from which the stewponds survive. The walled garden was made by Sarah Duchess of Marlborough before she moved to Blenheim. There is also a stream, a rock garden and a woodland garden. Lady Heald wrote of her feeling that the garden 'must always have some treasures to be shared with visitors. First aconites then scillas and all the heavenly little anemones come peeping through the cold ground . .'
