This place has a wonderful atmosphere, full of history, flowering trees and shrubs. Wild flowers and trees sprouting out of the ruins and yes a very healthy colony of storks roosting Dr Seuss-like in the trees. Peek over the western wall for a great view of traditional farms.

This is a scenic place and well worth a visit - but its different. First its an archeological site. Then its a garden in a local sense, with a few flowers, fragrant trees, watering canals, though regrettably a little bit neglected... Third it is a park for Rabat families to stroll around on free days. But most fascinating is the screaming and chattering really amazing huge colony of storks and several other large birds crowding the trees, bushes and towers of the park, coming and going, gliding over your head!
