Reviews of Chanticleer Garden

Although it is not as large as some of the other estate gardens in the Philadelphia region, Chanticleer more than makes up for it with the diversity of experience its gardens offer.
A visit to Chanticleer is delightful at any season, but visitors should note that it is not open in the winter months (November through March). In spring, summer and fall, however, it offers ever-changing plant palettes and vistas. There are whimsical touches throughout this sophisticated garden, from the stone sofa with its built-in television remote to the breath-taking "ruin," with its not-to-be-missed pool table.
First opened to the public in 1993, this garden quickly made a name for itself as a must-see for garden lovers. It has been featured in numerous magazines, including some in England, as well as in the pages of such national newspapers as the New York Times and the Washington Post, and on a variety of television programs. If you are going to be in the Philadelphia area, make sure you plan a trip to Chanticleer. It's on Philadelphia's fabled Main Line, but you'll need a car to get there.
