Coaches and large parties can book by telephone or email in advance and are also welcomed outside the normal season in April and October. Yes, the Castle is open for viewing from 10.30 am to last entries at 4.00 pm. Visitors can see the rooms used by Her Majesty, the late Queen Mother. Unfortunately, disabled access is very limited in the castle itself and it is advisable to contact the castle beforehand to book any special needs. The new visitor centre and tearoom is completely 'user friendly' with special toilet for disabled. The gardens and animal centre are accessible for wheelchairs.
