Bibi ka Maqbara Garden

The Bibi-Ka-Maqbara mausoleum was made for the wife of Aurangzeb (Shah Jehan's son). Like other Mughal tombs Rabia-ud-Durrani's tomb has a charbagh setting, with ponds, fountains, and channels. The garden is enclosed by crenellated walls with pavilions on three sides. Both garden and tomb have been compared to the Taj Mahal - and judged to the work of a less-talented designer (Atam Aula). Both are mughal tomb gardens. See style diagram No.15 on chart of Asian garden design styles.
