Bavariapark

King Ludwig I built the park between 1826 and 1831 and renamed it "Bavariapark" after the alignment of the 18m high bronze Bavaria statue in 1850. It is 21 acres and was originally called 'Theresienhain' (meaning "Theresia Grove"). For the opening of the adjacent fairgrounds in 1908, the park was redesigned as an "English park" and furnished with stone sculptures.
