The Temple was built between 1920 and 1953. Like the gardens, it was designed to symbolise the oneness of God, the oneness of mankind and the oneness of religion. It is a nine-sided structure with nine gardens and pools. Hedges demarcate the gardens and they are profusely planted with colorful flowers.
