Reviews of Aberglasney Gardens

I had wanted to visit the garden for many years. We arrived early in torrential rain and waited in the car. The rain stopped just as the gardens opened at 10am. The garden was sparkling after the rain and alive with bird song. The Gardens have been lovingly restored and maintained and are truly magnificent. There was something of interest to see in every section of the gardens. Do visit the Nifarium behind the house which has been created within the ruins behind the house.
A place we will remember for a long time.

This is a truly magnificent garden. I'd heard a lot about it before visiting and wondered whether it would live up to expectations... it did!
This is a beautiful garden and it is quite evident how much care has been taken restoring it to its former glory.
The walled gardens are magnificent, as is the Ninfarium, and I saw plants here that I have only ever seen in the tropics.
Well worth making a special detour for!

The most beautiful Gardens in Wales.
The Restoration Trust has not only restored parts of the Gardens such as the Ancient Cloisters, but has planted with such thought and care, that the Gardens are a pleasure all year round.

The new Ninfarium is enchanting with its orchids and tropical plants, hidden amoungst the ruins of the inner courtyard of the Mansion.

The yew tunnel is being trimmed back and still retains the facinating melee of trunks.

The gardens are sold as a plantsmans paradise and truely that what they are with many exotic and unusual specimins planted with care along with native plants creating a wonderful environment.

If you only visit one garden in Wales it should be Aberglasney!
