A garden in a sad state of decline, very overgrown in areas that were quite attractive only a few years ago. Pretty tea rooms if visiting the local Abbey for example but don't bother paying for the garden.

We visited Abbey Dore Court Garden in mid-August and were disappointed. Many of the flower beds have been grassed over and the remaining beds are mostly small and thinly planted. There are a few lovely specimens of semi-tender plants, thriving in the free-drained loamy soil. The 'colour themed' beds near the house are interesting rather than beautiful. There may be more interest in the woodland garden earlier in the year.

The surrounding countryside is beautiful and this garden could be fantastic if some good planting and design was added.

As it stands it is not worth a long journey to visit.

Abbey Dore Court Garden is situated near to the delightful Abbey Dore church in the Golden Valley - an area as lovely as any in England.

The garden is small but its situation alone makes it worth a visit.

there is lots of colour and a riverside walk.
