49. GREENWICH AND WOOLWICH. RAILWAYS. Southern Railway (North Kent Line) from Charing Cross, Cannon St., or London Bridge to Greenwich, 6+ minutes, in 10-15 minutes (from Charing Cross 1/3, 9d.); to Woolwich Arsenal, 9+ miles, in 20-40 minutes (1/11, 1/2). North Greenwich and North Woolwich, on the north bank of the river, connected with Greenwich and Woolwich by tunnels and ferries, may be reached from Fenchurch St. Station. OMNIBUSES. To Greenwich, Nos. 47, 48, 53; to Woolwich, Nos. 53, 153. TRAMWAYS to Greenwich and Woolwich, Nos. 36, 38, 40. All the trains call at London Bridge , which is 1+ miles from Charing Cross and + mile from Cannon Street. Some of the Woolwich trains hence follow the loop line to the south via New Cross, St. John's, Lewisham Junction, and Blackheath, rejoining the Greenwich line at Charlton.
