289. The Paris market for trees and shrubs is held every Wednesday and Saturday, on the Quai de la Cite. There are 200 stands. The nurserymen exposing trees for sale are obliged to be furnished with a certificate from the mayor of their district, that the articles they offer are all grown by themselves.
