  1. why go to the expense of building another airport in the country let alone in the south east, when you look around there are 3 airports serving london, namely, gatwick, heathrow & stanstead, if you are looking at maximising your assets gatwick & heathrow are big enough but could be made bigger, why not enlarge stanstead or make miximum use of manston, but stanstead is the best option because there are plans being agreed for a second terminal & runway, we do not want another airport for london being built in the thames estuary. regards D.Tyrrell, unhappy.

  2. Sorry but this is a question for transport planners, not for landscape architects. Our concern is merely that IF an airport is to be built THEN it should be designed in the environmentally sensitive way possible.
    Compare it to battery chicken houses: I wish they would not build them, but if a battery chicken plant to be built THEN it should be designed in the environmentally sensitive way possible.
